Runaway Cart.

Ride a runaway shopping cart down an endlessly steepening hill.

A shopping cart, a very long hill and no brakes. Dodge obstacles, jump and duck, and grab coins as the slope gets steeper and the cart gets faster.

Spend your coins on new carts in the shop, chase your best score, and come back every day for a brand-new Daily Run course.

Features.

  • Your cart carries six groceries: bread, eggs, milk, bananas and two extras. Each knock throws one out, and losing all six ends the run.
  • Runs start in the Supermarket Car Park, then pass through the High Street, Roadworks, Farmers' Market and Seaside Promenade in a shuffled order, each with its own obstacles.
  • Five power-ups turn up on the course: Leaf Blower, Baguette, Bubble Wrap, Magnet and a Grocery Bag that puts a lost item back.
  • Warning banners flag set pieces: a trolley stampede, a reversing bin lorry, a pigeon flock to duck under, or a bonus run lined with coins.
  • Each run ends on a customer receipt showing your distance, coins, near misses and leftover shopping, plus a seed you can replay or enter in Settings.

Tips for Runaway Cart.

  • Cones, bins, prams and other small obstacles cost one grocery. Hitting the front of a parked car, delivery van, skip, market stall or ice-cream van ends the run, so change lanes early.
  • Coin trails follow a line the game has already checked you can ride without a hit. When you are not sure where to go, follow the coins.
  • Bubble Wrap and the Baguette each absorb one hit, even from a parked car. The Leaf Blower gives four seconds of extra speed and smashes through whatever is in the way.
  • Your multiplier rises one step every 250 metres without a hit, up to x10, and any hit resets it. Near misses and clean landings (press down as you land) fill it faster.
  • When the bin lorry warning appears, move to the outside lane on the far side. The lorry stops across its own side and the centre lane.
  • The Daily Run gives everyone the same course for the UTC day, with its own high score. Replay it as often as you like until midnight UTC.

Runaway Cart FAQ.

Can I play Runaway Cart on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Swipe left or right to change lanes, up to jump and down to duck; you can chain swipes without lifting your finger. Tap to start, and use the on-screen pause button.

Do my coins, carts and best scores save?

Yes, in your browser on this device, with your settings and daily score. Coins bank when a run ends, even if you quit from the pause menu. Clearing site data resets them.

Do the carts play differently?

No. The Rusty Trolley (free), Baby Pram (300 coins), Office Chair (600), Hospital Bed (1,000), Wheelbarrow (1,500) and Golden Trolley (10,000) only change the look. The shop says the Golden Trolley has exactly the same hitbox.

What does the wonky wheel warning mean?

On a quiet stretch, your cart starts pulling to one side. Steer once against the pull to fix it, or it drags you into the next lane.

Runaway Cart is free to play online, with no download or sign-up. Your progress saves in this browser automatically. Updated .
